Mimi Schultz, Indiana
Everyone Has Gold in Them
After marrying her college sweet heart, Mimi Schultz settled into her life as wife, mother and professional woman. Several years into a busy life, Mimi’s son Rusty was diagnosed with Pineoblastoma brain cancer. In Rusty’s short life he captivated and inspired a community and in Mimi’s words, her son taught her “giant life lessons about how deep, wide and vast love is and how it can compel us to do incredible acts that bring life and light to others.” Mimi will share her story of heartbreak, wisdom and resilience that has brought her to today.
Mimi and her husband Adam are pouring their love, time and energy into their five children and her true passion is serving as the Co-Founder and President of Rusty’s Hope, a not for profit established in memory of her son. She shares Rusty’s story to bring hope of a cure to pediatric brain cancer patients and their families by funding pediatric brain tumor research, raising awareness and supporting families affected by this disease. Mimi has her undergraduate degree in Communications and her graduate degree in Business Management. She works with adult students to enroll into college to earn their degree.
